Shilpigram

A short rickshaw ride from Udaipur was Shilpigram which is a little village set up by the Indian government to keep regional culture alive...they get people in from far and wide in India to perform or sell their products for 2 weeks, and then they get some new people in. Obviously it's pretty toursity but it was still very interesting as we had an excellent guide who took us round giving us lots of interesting information about Indian culture...

The nice extra about the place was that it had an excellent hotel next to it with the first serviceable swimming pool we have found here, so we spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing by the pool after a nice lunch there...
