Udaipur

Finally able to upload images! Here's a few from Udaipur, which was a very nice place to stay - beautiful views of the lake and not too much hassle from drivers, beggars or sellers. The view from where we had breakfast each day was excellent...we managed to find a nice place, despite realising a day later that it wasn't the place we thought we were staying in which sounded so nice in the Lonely Planet! I guess we were still a little groggy when we went there - we had arrived at 3:15am on the bus and just checked into the first place we found that was open for the night...then found this nice place the following morning.

We went and visited the Royal Palace there...great views of the town but they may not come out too well in a small image. We then went for a quick boat ride around the lake...again, some great views, although we made the mistake of sitting at the front of the boat where it was inevitable we would get a bit of spray....

We also enjoyed a luxurious beer overlooking the lake as the sun set...very chilled by Indian standards....
