A fine figure
I think I should be a little bit miffed that my new wife couldn't contain her laughter when one of the shop assistants outside a suit shop in Hua Hin (trying to get us to go in) said that I had a "good figure". Michelle then went on to explain herself....apparently in the Lonely Planet it warns about these salesman and says that "their flattery about your current attire may not be entirely sincere" - she found it even funnier that my clothes were clealy "uncomplimentable" so they'd moved straight on to my figure!!

It's a mystery to me how they can ignore your clothes - those flip flops are surely worth a comment?!
And what's wrong with the flip flops?
I've found that it is the done thing to have poor dress sense round here...I have even purchased a vest!
