Oh dear...
Don't suppose the 20/20 result is exactly a surprise but it was a pity that Pietersen was run out as he was our only hope...why he would bat behind Flintoff I can't really get my head round..
It's pouring with rain in Auckland but we bought all our camping gear today...only hope it gets at least a bit better soon or we'll get flooded!

Hey guys. Ed, it was great to catch up the other night, even if only for a couple of hours. Michelle, great to meet you and sorry about the shoes.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your travels.
PS. Ed, you might as well just stop following the cricket as i think it could get ugly.
We're back home now after a week in Portugal to attend Meg's 90th birthday "party". All went well and the weather out there was sufficiently good (even in January) for us to sit on the beach and watch a couple of guys para-gliding. Unfortunately the computer at the timeshare we were stopping at was out of order, so we're only just catching up with your blogs.
Hope the weather improves in NZ for you to get around all right without getting soaked.
Agree with Aussie Dave that the cricket is best forgotten about: things seem to be going from bad to worse. I see that Fleming has said that his team will need to beware of the "wounded" England team. Unfortunately they have been wounded for the last month or so, but it doesn't seem to have instilled any pride or passion into their performances.
Well let's be optimistic...we beat the number 2 side in the world at one-dayers the other day didn't we? At least that's what it said in some of the Aussie press about NZ...
I think everyone else should play for runners up and the Aussies can enjoy themselves at the World Cup...
